What are the Benefits of Using Pine Plaster Salve for Healing?

Pine salve is a natural remedy made from the resin of pine trees that has been used for centuries for its healing properties. Here are some of the benefits of using pine salve for healing:

  1. Antimicrobial properties: Pine resin contains compounds that have antimicrobial properties, making it effective in treating cuts, scrapes, and other wounds. The resin creates a barrier over the wound, protecting it from bacteria and other pathogens.
  2. Anti-inflammatory properties: Pine salve has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce swelling, pain, and redness associated with various skin conditions.
  3. Moisturizing: Pine salve is also an excellent moisturizer, helping to soothe and hydrate dry, cracked skin.
  4. Respiratory benefits: Pine salve can be used as a decongestant when applied to the chest or inhaled. It can help clear the airways, making it easier to breathe.
  5. Relaxation: Pine salve has a pleasant scent that can promote relaxation and reduce stress.

Overall, pine salve is a versatile natural remedy that can be used for a variety of health benefits. However, it’s important to note that you should always consult with a healthcare professional before using any natural remedy, especially if you have any pre-existing medical conditions or are taking medications.

Pine Salve

It was my Great Grandmothers Grandfather who made the first batch of Pine Plaster. He had a prize horse that sparked the first need to creating “Pine Plaster”, as he deemed to name it. A friend and native American Indian showed him his family ancestors way of making it. Apparently it was around for centuries before this date Joe Bingman Wilks made his first batch for his horse Bob! My Great, Great, Great, Grandfather on my Great Grandmothers side of her family and from my fathers side of the family.

I remember my Grandfather making it when I was seven. We still have jars of that batch and it still smells the same and still has healing properties to this day. So I would venture to say, it has a very long shelf life as I am now 66 years young!

We’ve seen it help with warts on people and horses. And the warts haven’t returned. Seeing the seed pop out. Helping with many different wounds on animals. Summer sores, cuts that get infected by flies. Burns, colds/flues and toe fungus.

It’s very tacky and will adhere to any area applied too. To prevent dirt and other debris sticking to it; it’s best to wrap it with gauze or even just stick a few layers of gauze to it .  Like if it were on the shoulder of a horse gauze will stick and stay. Remove the gauze and clean off the Pine Plaster with Coconut Oil once every 3 or 4 days. Then reapply more Pine Plaster and gauze till wound has fully healed itself. It will take a few weeks depending on the size and depth of the wound.

Our Pine Plaster is not healing but rather helping your body heal itself. By keeping it clear of bacteria and other harmful viruses your own immune system has the ability to heal much better.

We have seen, when keeping the pine plaster on until your body has done most of the healing, hair returns and no scars remain. The salve forms a protective barrier while keeping it moist as not to scab over. The salve is the scab that would have been your bodies natural protection. But scabs leave scars. And now that it has an instant scab while benefiting from several minerals, skin tissue benefits like moisture retaining properties down to the inner cellular level, all while being from NATURAL ingredients from nature! Your body heals from the inside out, not outside in as from other topical treatments.
